ALMA DE CUBA - LIVERPOOL, ME

In February, we booked for a hen party of 16 for July 9th 2016. We specifically asked for tables on the altar either side of the DJ. When we arrived we were given two booths, in what was essentially a corridor, with a kitchen leading off at one end of our booths and the toilets leading off at the other end. We were told that we had been put there because they thought we would like to be together. They did not contact us to inform us of their decision.The Manager was unhelpful and unsympathetic. He offered us no alternatives or compromises. I spoke to him this morning. He informed me that under no circumstances would he provide me with a customer complaints policy. He then later admitted that there wasn't one. I asked who I should contact at their Head Office address, which is on the website. He said that had now closed down and that I could not complain to the owners. He was rude, defensive unsympathetic and appeared to have no customer service skills. I stated that perhaps he could refund the difference between the £600 we had paid in advance and the amount we had spent, as a gesture of goodwill. He categorically stated that there would be no refund.
