Horrid. I rented a flat. The office people were disrespectful. I once had my headphones in the property I was living in, I was told maintenance man was due in afternoon. I had my headphones in (in morning) and was getting dressed. The maintenance man just helped himself into my property whilst I wasn't decent and I wasn't aware he was there and he used key to get in. NO respect to privacy. The office women didn't care. It made me feel really uneasy and unsafe. I feel like anyone can just enter when they want to and there is no respect to the tenants.

I also had an incident where neighbours smoked weed and claimed into my garden space - nothing was done. All they are there for his the money.

Also one time they scheduled scaffolding to be put up whilst I was at work on back of building and expected me to let them go in/out my flat whilst not there when I had expensive items in my flat. I had to move less than 11 months time and lost out on my deposit because I ended my tenancy early.

DO NOT be fooled by the clearly fake "testimonials" on their website. Look for the real reviews. I wish I had before I rented with them. It doesn't start well. They will categorically NOT let you view a property until you have signed a contract and paid them. Only then will you be given the keys and see what you have just signed up for. In my case, a dark, damp, mouldy, noisy, small, badly decorated, badly designed bunker of a flat, with paper-thin walls, all for the bargain price of £500!! Appalling. You don't even get a toilet roll holder or any towel hooks in the bathroom. In addition to this shocking reality, Jamie Lewis Residential feel they have the right to enter your flat with their own keys whenever they like. In my instance, I had just got out of the shower and heard a key in my door, only for it to open, until I jumped in front of it and shouted "what the hell are you doing?!" to which received the response "you're on my list to change a lightbulb".... Yeah, you read that correctly, to change a lightbulb. Ok, so if that wasn't enough, it took the newly renamed "Leicester Lettings" a good 6 months before they got round to mending the gate on the carpark so for half of my tenancy, the claim of "secure parking" (which you have to pay extra for I must add) did not even exist. These guys have a net worth of millions, doesn't really bode well if you can't be bothered to mend an electric gate! There are lots of bike thefts, you can confirm this with the local police, I stopped an attempted theft myself from right outside my flat door. To sum up, I feel robbed out of the best part of £6000 for a year of uncomfortable, untrustworthy living. I would not recommend renting with this company. I spoke to a number of fellow residents whilst living there, who claimed to have had a very similar experience. One of which has slept on an airbed & sat on plastic garden furniture for a whole year as these flats are so tiny, you can't even get standard sized furniture into them! No, stick more rooms in, make more money, seems to be their company philosophy. There are a couple of great members of staff in the office, but do everything you can to avoid the office manager Wendy. She believes she is a special person. She is not a nice woman, and my review is not alone in saying that. For happy renting folks, look elsewhere!!
