THE BED SHOP - ASHBY-DE-LA-ZOUCH, LE

The owner is rude and condescending with very little customer service skills I ordered a divan bed base with draws, the first order sent was incorrect as the base did not have the draws I ordered. I spoke to them about this they apologised and said the correct bed would be sent the following week and shall be cut up to allow carriage up the stairs. This is indeed what happened however I wasn’t made aware of when they would make the delivery they just turned up – fortunately my partner was in. They proceeded to rush in and out the bed was in two halves and required assembling. They had no intention of making us aware of how to do this and were just trying to run out the house my partner called the young lad back several times (as the owner was sat in the van) to establish how to do this, where things were etc. I rang to express my dissatisfaction with the above approach and the Owner was rude, saying ‘it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to do it’ and ‘it didn’t need assembling’ although the bed is in bit’s so clearly some assembly was needed and requiring such I would of expected some form of direction on how to do this whether a ‘rocket scientist’ is required or not. He also said it was only £99 bed base so what did I expect – to be honest whether I spent £99 or £999 I would expect a constant level of service and definitely not to spoken to in that manor as a customer. This is just to name a few of the rude comments mentioned during my telephone conversation – I definitely won’t be recommending
