PARK HOTEL - GREAT HARWOOD, LA

Agree with some of comments from April, I8th I think they’ve got a good chef who wants to be a bit different, great but yes it is a bit pricey for a pub and would be a good idea to have either light nibbles or sharing boards on starter menu. There are older people who, whilst they enjoy a little something before the main, find that their appetite isn’t what it used to be! However I have to say we’re happy to have ‘ The Park’ . Great Harwood doesn’t have much in the way of quality places. Keyaly

Excellent service today. Booked a table for family meal. Front of house service exceptional. Food good quality. Made to feel welcome & nothing to much trouble. Best in Gt Harwood for food and hospitality.

Thought this would be a good local venue to eat out within easy reach of home. Very disappointed with the menu not a lot of options and on the top side for value for money. Staff were very obliging and we could not fault the service but when ordering the lamb I was not asked how I would like it cooked, hence under done for my taste and it had to go back for extra cooking and at £16.95 there wasn’t a lot of food for the money. My other half had Tandori chicken which was a small portion with very little veg and a few small potatoes and not very warm when it was served so had to go back to the kitchen again for reheating again at £12.95 on the pricey side for value. Drinks were reasonably priced. We didn’t have a dessert but having seen the menu they appeared to be expensive. All in all venue is beautifully decorated and should be bussing but they need to have more variety on the menu reasonably priced, I know they are trying not to serve the usual pub grub but it is a local pub and should be priced as such not as a restaurant.
