Maybe landlords should not be landlords if they have an impression that tenants are dodgy. I was a victim to this companies bullying and harassment for many months after giving up on my tenancy due to unsafe fixtures and fittings, which they then tried to threaten me into paying thousands of pounds for. Needless to say nothing came of this but does not make up for the stress I was put under at the time. DO NOT GO NEAR THIS COMPANY I HAVE SEEN FIRST HAND THERE DODGY WAYS!

Atrocious Letting agent which I wish I had never heard of, I would NEVER rent from them again. We rented 15 Buchan Street, Hamilton from James Doherty trading as Excel Property who owns Concept Lettings Ltd along with his wife. When we moved in the garden was in an absolutely appalling state. There were bits of cars, rotten carpets, broken glass, branches, rubble and all manner of other junk lying in it. The trees were overgrown and when a branch fell off one destroying a section of the next door neighbours fence, Mr Doherty the owner of the property and owner of Concept Property, denied that he was responsible for the upkeep of the garden to him. We ended up cleaning the garden and removing the rubbish ourselves. The house had problems with mold and dampness. At first I put the almost clownish incompetency of the owner and his staff as being down to laziness or inexperience but I saw a darker side to Mr Doherty when he failed to answer several emails requesting repairs. My son has Autism and PICA, to our horror we found out that the property had lead contaminated paint and soil. There was paint flaking off the old wooden frames of the single glazed windows. My son ate some of this contaminated decayed wood, and other exposed paint, leading to there being high levels of lead in his blood. It was impossible to watch him the whole time as we have other children and an unpleasant email from the Letting Agency suggested that it was our fault that he had lead poisoning due to us not having taken proper care of him! When the windows were eventually replaced, Mr Doherty assured us that this would be done safely but instead Doherty arranged for this to be done as cheaply as possible by his handyman. Health and Safety guidelines were not followed and our health was put at risk, my wife was expecting at the time. On several occasions emails highlighting the need for repairs were ignored by the letting agent. We were reminded twice that the house was cheaper than other properties in the area, suggesting that we should just put up with the poor state of the house. Our rent was put up a few times in spite of the poor overall condition of this property with no central heating. I would strongly advise anyone to avoid this letting agency as they were extremely incompetent and the stress of dealing with them is not worth it. This letting agency is very unprofessional and I fear that other families may have experienced similar problems with Concept Property Ltd. I do not know how the owners of the agency can live with themselves.

A shockingly poor company. Our house had mold in several places and this was not addressed. The property was poorly maintained and the letting agent was unresponsive to requests for essential repairs to be carried out. This company put the health of its tenants and risk. We did not have legal fire alarms. It should be avoided at all costs.

Avoid at all costs!!!! We had some serious issues with this letting agency and when we tried to notify them of them we received nasty emails. On other occasions they would make up pathetic excuses for not carrying out repairs. This letting agency has caused nothing but stress and misery. They do not have a clue how to operate a business.
