BARGAIN FLIGHT DESK - READING, BE

I booked a couple of flights to Tokyo in April through Travelup just before the earthquake. I tried to cancel the flights by emailing and calling Travelup but they were highly unresponsive. I called the airline directly which confirmed they would offer a full refund via the agent but Travelup is trying to withhold almost 13% of the price I paid without explanation of the non-transparent charges. They do not reply to emails (despite a service standard claim) or phone calls and I'm trying to pursue a claim via my credit card now.

Zero customer service. Avoid unless you want a lot of hassle!

Dreadful company. They made errors in the name on our e-tickets, repeated efforts to get them to correct this on the day of purchase when it could be done at no cost were not dealt with by their call centre went un-dealt with. Repeated efforts to resolve the problem over following days just involved being passed from pillar to post by rude, unhelpful staff, I believed trained never to accept responsibility for their errors.

Subsequent research has shown that their call centre is in Karachi and their UK headquarters is a run down end terrace office in Reading adjoining a takeaway. They didn't bother replying to postal correspondence.

Using this company involved costly ticket cancellations and using a company with a good reputation instead. Avoid Travel Up like the plague.

Do not use this company. We booked flights to Japan and then had to cancel. They have kept £1000 of our money and refuse to answer telephone calls and emails.

Be very, very careful with this hole in the wall company. They made a mistake booking our tickets then had the cheek to charge us £350 for 30 minutes work to rectify THEIR OWN mistake !! Despite strong complaints. The £350 was on top of another £350 which they passed on to us from the airline itself. Be very very careful with this company. If you read the reviews on them all over the net you will see that this seems to happen very often with them. Just search under Travel Up Ltd and see what I mean. You have been warned !
